SmartSwing, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based golf technology company, has introduced an intelligent golf club which will enable golfers to improve their game and more thoroughly enjoy their experience on the golf course. The SmartSwing driver — other clubs are to follow — incorporates hardware in the shaft of the golf club. This allows golfers to get immediate, detailed feedback on the quality of their golf swings and other mechanics. The feedback occurs on the golf course or the golf range and can be transferred to a computer via a wireless link.
“The software allows you to download your swing, analyze it from every angle and then compare it to your ideal reference swing on the computer,” said Dick Eyestone, SmartSwing’s CEO.
