Saks Supports Women’s Center

RIYADH, 28 May 2004 — Saks Fifth Avenue will donate more than 20 percent of its jewelry department profits for a full week to support Al Nahda Women’s Society Center for Rehabilitation and Training.

The center has so far trained 20,741 Saudi females with valuable job skills. Over 700 have gained employment in Saudi factories, while another 1,269 entered different professional fields. The center is the only charitable organization to win the Prince Naif Trophy for Saudization several years in a row. The center’s aim is to fight poverty through preparing young females for the professional field.

Princess Sara bint Naif Al-Saud opened the Jewelry department this week on behalf of her mother Princess Al Johara bint Abdul Aziz Al Jalawi, wife of Interior Minister Prince Naif.
