D’Marvelous Foil Unlimited VI; Jadawel Snatch Honors: NAK Park Bowlfest

RIYADH, 21 May 2004 — D'Marvelous effectively blocked a move by Unlimited VI to gatecrash their looming party even as Jadawel Bowling Club clinched honors on the penultimate week of double round robin eliminations in the NAK Park USA Sunday Night Bowling League 8th Conference here.

League leaders D'Marvelous abruptly ended a month of robust performances by Unlimited VI and their rival's hopes of getting into the title picture with a 17-13 victory on total pinfalls of 3,894 and 3,802.

With Unlimited VI's threat gone, D'Marvelous only have to deal with D'Invaders, a 21-15 victor over Schneider Electric on total pinfalls of 3,993-3,970.

Meantime, Jadawel Bowling Club emerged Team of the Week after compiling the top figures of 25 points and 4,194 pinfalls in winning by default over HTG-Margie.

Al Mishari Pinbusters routed Blue Blood 20-6 and Okey Lang also won by default over Saudi Tornado with 16 points and 3,590 pinfalls in the oth?er matches in the Sunday league event sponsored by NAK Park USA.

Schneider Electric's Angel Pantoja collared the Bowler of the Week award with a series of 885.

Jadawel scorched the Riyadh Bowling Club lanes to get remarkable series of 853 from Raman Gurung, 834 from Henry Pablo, 826 from Jojo Miraflor and 821 from Mar Viloria.

D'Invaders' Tony Vicario shot the high series of 943, while captain Romy Zafe tallied 814, Ernie Quiambao 759, JB Valerio 744 and Ronald Bautista 733.
