ISFAHAN, 10 October — Saudi Arabian Airlines signed an agreement here yesterday with Iranian Haj and Zeyarah Organization to fly Iranian pilgrims to the Kingdom this Hijra year.
The agreement was signed by Saudia Director General Dr. Khaled ibn Bakr and President of Haj and Zeyarah Organization Mohammed Hussein Reza’e.
Under the agreement, Saudia will carry about 93,000 Iranian pilgrims to the Kingdom during the coming Haj season.
Meanwhile, an international tourism exhibition opened in Tehran with 89 local and international companies taking part, including Saudi Arabia.
The five-day exhibition also includes companies from the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Bangladesh, India, Armenia, the US and South Korea.
Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the head of the exhibition Hashim Assad as saying, "Iran could be an important tourism center for its regional diversity, tourism attractions and heritage."
