5,000 new Indonesian Muslims

JEDDAH, 18 August — About 5,000 Indonesians in Maluku Island have embraced Islam thanks to the efforts of the Jeddah-based International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), according to Dr. Ahmad ibn Nafie Al-Mowarrae, the organization’s supervisor in Makkah. He highlighted IIRO’s efforts to spread the message of Islam throughout Indonesia where it has appointed 150 preachers. (SPA)
