Five new hospitals this year

JEDDAH, 13 March — The Health Ministry announced yesterday that it will establish four hospitals and an emergency medical center this year at a total cost of SR820 million. Esmat Isa, director of projects and maintenance, said the new projects included a general hospital in the holy city of Makkah, a maternity and children’s hospital in Dammam and a mental hospital in Gurayat. He said tenders will be called shortly to implement the projects.
