JEDDAH, 1 March — Five new mining projects in the Kingdom will create a total of 25,000 jobs, according to Sultan Shawaly, assistant deputy minister for petroleum and mineral resources. He said each project will require 2,000 to 10,000 employees. The Kingdom’s mining sector currently employs more than 28,000 people. Shawaly revealed that the ministry will license seven more mines shortly.
