SR1b water, sewage projects OK’d

JEDDAH, 12 February — The board of directors of the Water and Sewage Department in the Makkah region yesterday approved new projects worth more than SR1 billion in Makkah and Jeddah. Dr. Abdul Fattah Fouad, director general of the department, said the projects included two sewage treatment plants in Jeddah and Makkah. Each plant will have a daily capacity of 250,000 cubic meters. The board also approved a main pipeline project linking the sewage water pumping stations in Jeddah. (SPA)
