Four amusement parks ordered shut

JEDDAH, 29 June — Civil Defense officials have ordered the closure of four amusement centers in north Jeddah for safety reasons. A team of 20 officers took part in an inspection tour of amusement facilities in the area which are currently being visited by a large number of children, said Col. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, director of Civil Defense in Jeddah. The team also arrested several African women while selling fireworks and crackers to children. (AN)
