WAMY sends aid to Palestinian refugees Senegalese youth

JEDDAH, 26 January — The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) sent humanitarian aid including relief material and education material to the Palestinian refugees in Jordan and Muslims in the Senegal.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />


WAMY Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Abdul Wahab Noowali, said the aid to Palestinians was the second of its kind within two months and covered winter clothes,  carpets, shoes and thousands of books in addition to special equipment to the disabled and handicapped.


In Senegal, WAMY organized a youth education camp for secondary school students featuring religious, cultural and social functions. The camp was help young Muslims link with their Islamic environment and develop their potentials and direct their effort for the service of their society.


More than 160 high school students joined the camp. A reach-out program carried during the holy fasting month of Ramadan offered food to more than 2,600 orphans and poor families.
