STC inks deal with Anomali to boost cybersecurity

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has signed an agreement with Anomali, a US-based cybersecurity company, to establish a platform for the sharing of information regarding cyber threats. The agreement focuses on enhancing the methods of dealing with cyber threats in the STC Group and its subsidiaries. The agreement will also enable the group to use the latest technologies in cybersecurity and analyze cyber data, and predict and deal with it by supporting security threat monitoring experts at the cyber defense centers with high-quality information on sources of threats and cyberattacks. This will provide STC with an early alarm system for any possible attacks on its infrastructure.

Yasser Alswailem, cybersecurity general manager, said: “Through bilateral agreements with specialized companies, our aim is to continue enhancing cybersecurity in the STC Group in order to protect customer data. The agreements will help in analyzing cyber data for information of cyber-threats via interactive platforms at the right time.”
