JEDDAH: King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy is hosting the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in July for an integrated review of Saudi Arabia’s atomic energy infrastructure.
This integrated infrastructure review (INIR) is a holistic peer review to assist member states in assessing the status of their national infrastructure for the introduction of nuclear power.
The international organization will be in Saudi Arabia from July 15 to 24 to review Saudi Arabia’s efforts in creating an infrastructure to introduce the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The body will also ensure that the Saudi National Atomic Energy Project is in line with the IAEA requirements.
It also stresses that the Saudi project gets the agency’s approval, as well as the international community’s support, to promote the principles of transparency.
