Hector Cuper leaves role as Egypt coach

CAIRO: Egypt’s coach Hector Cuper has left his role after the Pharaohs were knocked out of the World Cup in the group stage with three defeats.
Egypt, appearing at their first World Cup finals since 1990, finished bottom of Group A and failed to pick up a point.
After losing 1-0 to Uruguay and a 3-1 loss to hosts Russia, they ended their campaign with a dismal 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia. a
