Ecolog, a Dubai-based provider of supply chain, construction, technology, facility management, and environmental services, has appointed Adil Toubia as its vice chairman and CEO.
A global executive in the oil and gas industry, Toubia brings to Ecolog a wealth of experience and a long list of achievements. Ecolog, currently working in more than 35 countries, provides turnkey and customized support solutions to governments, defense, humanitarian organizations and commercial clients in the sectors of oil & gas, mining, energy, and infrastructure.
Toubia is the former worldwide president of the Wireline and Drilling divisions at Schlumberger, a leading oilfield services company, where he worked for more than two decades and held various executive roles.
“Ecolog is very pleased to have found the perfect individual to steer us into deeper specialization and optimization as we continue our global expansion,” said Nazif Destani, Ecolog founder and chairman. “Adil’s vast knowledge and proven track record make him uniquely qualified to lead Ecolog during this exciting time of growth.”
From 2012 to 2014, Toubia was global CEO of Siemens Oil & Gas Division. He last served as group CEO of Al-Ghurair Investment, and has previously held top executive positions with Energy Capital Group and GCC Energy Fund, private equity firms making investments in the energy and power sectors.
“I am delighted to join Ecolog and totally committed to our company reaching market leadership and becoming the most recognized name in our industry,” Toubia said. “I’m very impressed with the company’s global expansion and its growing list of contracts, and I plan to build on the good initiatives already launched.”
Ecolog said the outgoing CEO Paul Broekhuijsen, under whose leadership the company reached new levels in its goals and operations, will continue to contribute his expertise as he moves to the holding, and GROUP B.V., based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
