11th Annual SABB Open tees off on Saturday

RIYADH: The third major of the new season, the 11th Annual SABB Open Stroke Play Golf Tournament 2016, tees off on Saturday at the Dirab Golf & Country Club with a increasingly pleasant golfing weather on the day expected.
The tournament coming on the heels of the Saudi National Day Tournament and the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge qualifying event will have an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
A popular fixture on the Dirab calendar of events, the SABB Open attracted a full field of more than 100 players who will be vying for handsome prizes.
The 18-hole event also doubles as the Stroke Play Club Championship and the overall gross and net winners earning bragging rights as champions for the wraparound 2016-2017 season.
All participants will receive goody bag courtesy of SABB and which contains branded polo shirt, cap, golf balls and golf towels.
The competition will have four divisions for men and one division for ladies.
Along with the major prizes skill prizes for longest drive men’s and ladies and closest to pin unizex will be awarded.
SABB is one in a line of corporate sponsors which is maintaining its association with the club in a show of support in the promotion of golf in Saudi Arabia.
