The Alif International School celebrated its “Goodbye Kindergarten Program.”
Students were highly eager to reach the school on the occasion, with Sajna, mother of Mohammed Fadil of LKG-A, saying: “It was Fadil who woke me up at 4:30 a.m. When I opened my eyes, what I saw was that he was doing his final rehearsal of ‘Papa kehte hain’ dance.”
An audience of more than 1,000 mothers enjoyed and applauded the glittering shows presented by the toddlers.
Principal K.C. Shaijal inaugurated the event, where more than 150 students from the kindergarten section received graduation caps and certificates.
Alif School CEO Mahmood Abbas and Khulood Muhanned, PTA representative, delivered felicitation speeches. Teachers, including Sonia Mustafa, Aemon Khan, Khutejabi, Shafiya, Baby Asoora, Sarah and Noora Ali, helped organize the program.
There were 30 stage performances. “Oppana,” the renowned traditional Muslim folk dance of Kerala, “qawwali,” Arabic dance and “dandia,” the famous Gujarati folk dance, were some of the performances which stole the hearts of the audience.
Dramatization of famous nursery rhymes and dance adaptation of popular Bollywood numbers were also staged.
