Another 3.7 magnitude earthquake hits Jazan

Residents in the Jazan province felt another tremor on Saturday morning less than two days after an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the region.
Hani Zahran, director-general of the National Center for Earthquakes and Volcanoes, said the earthquake was 15 km deep and measured 3.7 on the Richter scale northwest of Sabia.
The operations room at the Jazan Civil Defense received reports from citizens saying they felt the earthquake that hit several districts in the area.
Last Thursday, Jazan region was hit with an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale 50 km northeast of Jazan. Its impact reached 10 km in depth. Residents in Najran and Asir also felt the tremor.
