SCTA gears up for hosting STTIM-2014

The seventh edition of Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM-2014) will be held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) between March 30 and April 3.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has stepped up its preparations for the mega event to be held with the support of Prince Sultan bin Salman, SCTA president, a statement issued Tuesday by the commission said.
The STTIM 2014 will feature a scientific program focused on the development of local tourism industry and the way by which the local companies may benefit from the evens of the scientific program, it added. It stated that the executive committee of the STTIM has started its preparatory meetings, which focused on the marketing plan of the accompanied exhibition of STTIM, where a large number of companies, tourism facilities and travel and tourism agencies are expected to take part in the exhibition.
A SCTA official stated that the allotted display space in the exhibition this year is over 40 percent more as compared to that of last year's event as STTIM 2014 aims to bring together a large number of Arabic and international companies that are engaged in areas of tourism investment and services.
The official added that a specialized marketing team is taking part in a number of regional and international exhibitions that are being organized this year in order to encourage more companies to attend the STTIM-2014.
STTIM-2014 will be attended by provincial tourism councils, municipalities and different pubic departments. STTIM is viewed as the most important annual event devoted to travel and tourism in the region where it brings together all parts of national and international tourism in addition to experts of tourism, industries, and its related sector.
It also represents an important event for informing on latest developments in this area and enhancing opportunities of tourism investments in the Kingdom, the commission said.
