Malaysian Cuisine — a special tribute to the finest of the country’s cooking and culture — is being held at Elements Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh. It will continue till Sept. 14.
The hotel has flown in Chef Adee Affende bin Sudin from Four Seasons Resort Langkawi to ensure the intricacies of the country’s cuisine are presented to perfection.
Guests are being assured of special Malay welcome the minute they walk into the restaurant, which has been specially decorated for this occasion.
With Malaysian instrumental music playing in the background, the atmosphere is set for a taste trip to Malaysia. where diners are able to watch the live cooking of the most exquisite Malay dishes.
Chef Adee is overseeing a vast menu of specialty dishes, including firm favorites such as spicy soups, tangy appetizers and Malay lamb curry with potato.
Desserts offer an array of flavors — their mainstay being fresh fruits but served with the typical twist that makes Malaysian food so delicious.
Chef Adee acquired his passion for food by assisting his mother in the daily preparation of the family meals.
He then worked his way up the kitchen ranks from a pastry chef to baker and Asian chef.
He made sure to take on every apprenticeship he could and honing his craft in food promotions from Switzerland to Syria.
And when not working, he passed his time traveling deep into the Malay countryside in search of the country’s most authentic home-style dishes — a hobby he continues to this day.
