ALJ wins Lexus excellence award in Japan

Japan’s Lexus branch of Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) was recently awarded the Lexus Excellence Award for 2012 from Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) as the best performing Lexus dealer.
The award was handed to ALJ at a celebration event in Tokyo on July 30.
Seventy-five out of a total of 165 Lexus dealers in Japan have been given awards.
ALJ’s Lexus branch in Japan was one of only two dealers of 21 Lexus dealers in Tokyo receiving the award.
The award covers the performance measured for one-year period between April 2012 and March 2013.
Nomination mechanism for the award includes that the dealer should preferably obtain an excellent score and at the minimum a perfect rating equaling an over 65 percent mark of appreciation for customer service.
ALJ’s Lexus branch in Japan stood out achieving well over the minimum requested with its customers evaluating the quality of service at 83 percent.
“We are honored and proud to have received this distinguished award and would like to thank all my associates for their efforts to improve services provided to our guests in all ALJ’s branches,” said Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of ALJ Group.
“We at ALJ firmly believe the guest comes first. I also would like to thank TMC for this prestigious award,” he said.
“In addition, we believe in continuous development, and therefore are constantly upgrading our equipment with the latest in technology to provide the best service we possibly can. We’re looking forward to raise our customer service ratings even higher,” he added.
The ALJ Group, founded in 1945, has set up businesses in 15 countries across three continents — in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT), as well as Asia Pacific and Europe.
