48 Pakistani pilgrims injured in Makkah road accident

Forty-eight pilgrims were injured in a road accident on the busy Makkah-Madinah Highway on Saturday.
The bus, carrying Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan, was heading toward Madinah when it met with an accident near the Jamoom flyover.
The Makkah health directorate declared a state of emergency and alerted all hospitals in the holy cities to treat the guests of God.
The injured were brought to Hera General Hospital, King Abdul Aziz General Hospital, Noor Specialist Hospital and King Abdul Aziz University Hospital, officials said.
More than 20 teams of ambulance and crews were involved in the rescue operation.
