The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired at his palace here Monday afternoon a session of the Cabinet.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said that the cabinet was briefed on a number of domestic issues, thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on issuance of his order to address the situation of holders of undergraduate health diplomas to work in the health sector.
The Cabinet was briefed on the great efforts exerted by the Ministries of Interior and Labor to correct status of illegal expats in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, lauding the efforts, in this regard, and calling upon the illegal workers to take advantage of the opportunity ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Cabinet stressed that those measures are in the interest of worker and employer.
Then, the Cabinet was briefed on the reports regarding the latest developments at regional and international arenas, including the international efforts regarding the Syrian crisis.
On the 32nd anniversary of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States Secretariat General's Establishment, the Cabinet hailed the efforts of the GCC leaders and their keenness to achieve more progress and aspirations of the GCC peoples.
Dr. Khoja said that the Cabinet continued the discussion of its agenda and issued the following decisions:
The Cabinet authorized the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense - or his deputy - to discuss and sign with the Austrian side a draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Federal Republic of Austria in the field of mutual protection of classified information.
The Cabinet approved reformation of Board of Trustees of King Fahd National Library, as follows:
- Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz (Chairman)
- Minister of Higher Education (Member)
- Minister of Culture and Information (Member)
- Deputy Minister of Finance (Member)
- President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (Member)
- General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library (Member)
- Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation (Member)
- Secretary General of King Fahd National Library (Member)
- Chairman of the Board of Trustees selects five members of specialists who serve a period of three years.
The Cabinet approved a conversion of the Standing Committee of the Exhibitions and Conferences into National Program in the name of 'National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences'.
The Cabinet approved that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is to prepare of the Kingdom's participations at the foreign exhibitions.
The Cabinet approved appointments at the 15th and 14th ranks as follows:
1- Dr. Zuhair bin Mohammed Al-Idrissi is appointed to the post of ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2- Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Humaidi is appointed to the post of regular expert/A (rank 15) at the Bureau of Experts at the Council of the Ministers.
3- Abdullah bin Salah Al-Qannas is appointed to the post of regular expert/B (rank 14) at the Bureau of Experts at the Council of the Ministers.
4- Dhaifallah bin Bader Al-Otaibi is appointed to the post of director general of customs of King Khalid International Airport (rank 14) at Saudi Customs.
5- Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Dakheel is appointed to the post of director general of Riyadh's Dry Port (rank 14) at Saudi Customs.
