I was having this wonderful chat with a great ‘old pal’ of mine last Thursday. At some point, we came across his wish to start an educational project (an international school). I was surprised to know that many small international schools, in Riyadh, are for sale. But I was truly astonished to know that some of these schools are asking for eight million Saudi Riyals.
It is important to know that these schools are nothing but a rented villa (the buyer will not own the property), poor educational facilities, below average equipment and with poor basic sport capabilities.
Many of us know that the new regulations for international schooling made things tough. Yet, it is necessary to admit that Saudi educational authorities made it challenging for a good reason. International schools should work harder to justify the high tuitions they collect from us. May be this is why many of these schools are for sale at the moment. Please earn it!
