An Al-Qaeda terror suspect killed a police officer inside Taif prison yesterday while the latter was trying to put out a fire, police said.
Fahd Bakr Hausawi created the fire in a bid to escape. A probe into the incident has been launched. The prison belongs to the intelligence department.
The slain officer was identified as Corporal Abdul Moghni Awad Al-Thubaity.
