PNS Munsif is the lead ship of the Munsif class of Mine Hunters for the Pakistan navy. The vessel was formerly Sagittaire (M650), an Eridan-class Mine Hunter of the French navy, which was renamed Munsif soon after it was commissioned into the Paksitani navy in 1995. As of 2005, Munsif and two sister ships, commissioned in 1996 and 1997, have remained in active service.
PNS Muhafiz, also known as the Guardian to the Sea, is an Eridin-class tripartite Mine Hunter, the second of three Mine Hunters purchased from France. The ship was completely built in France and was inducted into the Pakistani fleet on Sept. 18, 1996.
