Veteran actor Robin Padilla finds his latest starring role as a new brand ambassador for MoneyGram, a leading money transfer company, which tapped the seasoned talent for a new campaign designed to increase brand awareness and affinity among the millions of Filipino consumers living and working around the world - including those in Saudi Arabia.
As part of the effort, Padilla is featured in a series of television commercials and print materials that feature the phrase "Moneygrado sa MoneyGram." Moneygrado is a play on the term manigurado, which in Tagalog, the official language of the Philippines, means to "make sure."
MoneyGram's services can be accessed throughout the Kingdom through its agent National Commercial Bank (NCB). NCB offers the MoneyGram service through its Quickpay platform from the bank's ATMs, providing 24/7 access to consumers without having to wait in long lines. Money can be sent year-round from more than 1,800 NCB ATMs across the Kingdom. Customers wanting to transfer money need to register themselves at any Quickpay centre just once, free of charge, following which they can use their Quickpay card at any NCB ATM to send money.
"MoneyGram chose Robin because he is seen by Filipino consumers to be a credible voice in advocating for products,” said Juan Agualimpia, MoneyGram's chief marketing officer.
