The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) conducted a seminar on financial literacy for 53 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who enrolled in OWWA’s Tulay Program Computer Training Course last Friday.
“In its efforts to prepare OFWs for their return to the Philippines, the OWWA conducted the seminar under OWWA’s Information Technology Program held at the POLO-OWWA Information Technology Conference Hall,” welfare officer Romeo Pablo said in a statement.
Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago had earlier requested the assistance of Filipino community volunteers and Philippine banks with remittance operations in Saudi Arabia to conduct financial literacy seminars to inform the embassy, which intends to hold a monthly financial literacy seminar.
The seminars are intended to provide the participants with knowledge on how to save their earnings and build their personal wealth.
