KFH, Aziziah set up title clash in Siglakas Unity Cup

KFH Rangers threw the full weight of their firepower to beat Shemesy 84-75 and Aziziah thrashed Industrial team 81-72 at the end of the knockout semifinal games in the Siglakas International Riyadh South District Unity Cup Basketball Tournament 2012 at the Dunes Compound Filipino Community basketball court in Olaya Thalateen area here.
The victories paved the way for a Rangers-Aziziah best-of-three championship showdown while Shemesy and Industrial play a knockout game for third and fourth.
Ace cager Marlon Adriano broke the ice in the KFH-Shemesy match and finished with 25 big points to lead the Rangers before fouling out with 8 minutes to play in the final quarter.
Aside from Adriano, Johnson Sangcap, Joseph Repollo, Hector Laurequez and Francis Bustamante delivered their best to help Rangers to leads of 27-23 and 49-39 at the end of the first two quarters.
Shemesy trio of Reniel Ebora, Rusty Rabe and Crisvin Aborde in collaboration with Jonarie Lat and Daguplo managed to cut the lead down to seven points 66-59 to end the third quarter but could not save their team as KFH continued to apply their high intensity and high pressure defense on the way to victory.
The unstoppable trio of Arnel Cunanan, Edison Bien and Raymond Gile ably supported by Ryan Castro, Engelbert Josue and Ryan Reyes led the Aziziah Magic’s aggressive attacks.
The first half was close with the Magic up by only 3 points in the initial period 21-18. The second quarter ended 38-38 all before the Magic regained the lead by 6 points, 60-54, at end of the third quarter end and stayed in front till the end. Jeffrey Dacasin, Jayson Canarez and Jeffrey Perez top-scored for Industrial team of Joel Crisostomo with 21, 12 and 10 points in that order.
In today’s games it will be Shemesy against Industrial at 5 p.m. and KFH against Aziziah at 6:30 p.m.

Dunes Compound Filipino Community through Rex Badida and Ben Samson Duhaylungsod also support the tournament.
