Defense Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman has ordered payment of SR1 million to each family of the four men who died in a helicopter accident in Hafr Al-Baten earlier this week.
The prince issued the order after offering his condolences to the families by telephone, and said the government would support them. The victims are Lt. Col. Ali Arfaj, First Lt. Majed Al-Fifi, First Lt. Judaie Judaie and Sgt. Raid Al-Johani, who died during a training flight.
“During a nighttime training flight on an army helicopter west of the King Khaled Military City in Hafr Al-Baten, the aircraft crashed to the ground resulting in the death of four crew members. An investigation is underway,” the statement issued by the military said.
