The security authorities in the northern Hail region have honored a young Saudi man who returned the lost money and iqama (residence permit) of an Asian worker.
On behalf of Public Security Chief Lt. Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani, Hail police chief Maj. Gen. Yahya Al-Biladi handed a check for SR 2,000 to Muhammad Al-Shammari in recognition of his honesty and trustworthiness.
Al-Shammari, 29, found the money and the iqama at a public place and was not able to trace the owner even though he made inquiries at the scene.
After failing to find the owner of the lost property, he went to the Hail police station and handed over the money and the residence permit. On their part, the police then launched a search for the Asian national and returned him the money and iqama.
