JEDDAH, 16 May 2008 — Saudi Arabia’s 13th international showcase for the food, hotel and processing and packaging industry opens at the Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Center on Madinah Road on Sunday.

Branded as food arabia for food, beverages and catering, hotel arabia for hotel equipment, supplies and services, and propac arabia for processing, packaging, canning, bottling, labeling and plastics, this is described as the Kingdom’s national showcase and the region’s international forum.

Over 250 major national and international exhibitors at the annual event include individual and national pavilions from Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, China, Egypt, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE and the United States.

“Exhibitors consider this as a comprehensive promotional platform and make it a point to take part in it to expand their market share and also to introduce new products,” Zahoor Siddique, director of exhibitions at ACE, which is organizing the event, told the media yesterday.

TopChef co-organized by Promo Vision and sponsored by Baiti, Kenwood and Gate India, and the Art de Table competition will run concurrently with the show.
