TAIF, 9 October 2006 — A large hairy monkey made a surprise visit at a female elementary school in Taif forcing pupils to lock themselves inside their classrooms, reported the Al-Watan newspaper. The monkey roamed the school corridors for 15 minutes before a security guard chased it away. The school is located in a mountainous area where monkeys are known to frequently visit people at their homes in search for food.
