MAKKAH, 1 February 2005 — An Indonesian pilgrim, who had performed Haj 39 times, died here at the age of 68, Okaz newspaper reported. He was in a group of sick pilgrims who were taken to Arafat in an ambulance owned by Hera General Hospital. Soon after he completed Haj, he suffered from a stroke. His condition later deteriorated and he died two days ago at the hospital. The pilgrim was popular among Makkah’s residents who knew him for 40 years. He was known for helping Indonesian pilgrims to perform Haj and also for his many charitable activities. |
