MADINAH, 2 November 2004 — A local doctor prescribed medicine for a man suffering from colon problems. The patient took the prescription to a pharmacy and gave it to the pharmacist. At the same time, another man entered the pharmacy asking for anti-pregnancy pills. The man with the colon problem took the pregnancy pills from the counter thinking that they were meant for him. He took them at night as the doctor instructed him only to wake up with severe stomach pain. He was taken again to hospital for treatment and there the doctors discovered the funny mixup. The patient was treated and released. |
