Bahraini Aims for Guinness Record
Staff Writer

JEDDAH, 17 May 2004 — A Bahraini neuro-linguistic programmer is trying to find a place in the Guinness Book of Records by giving the longest ever lecture. Jameel Al-Nasser, who is a writer and researcher, intends to give a speech spanning for 64 hours with a 15-minute break after every eight hours, Al-Watan reported yesterday. He wanted to replace the record of Cuban President Fidel Castro, who delivered a marathon speech at the United Nations, which lasted for 4 hours and 29 minutes on Sept. 26, 1960. A neuro-linguistic programmer in Jeddah said the three-day lecture was aimed at a large number of people. “By holding this lengthy lecture, Nasser intends to introduce a neuro-linguistic program, which is actually a Chinese invention adopted later by the West and adapted into a modern science,” the daily quoted them as saying.
