HAIL, 16 April 2004 — A member of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Hail has survived an attempt on his life, Al-Watan reported. The man was stabbed in the neck on his way to the mosque, the paper said. The commission in Hail said the attacker had threatened to kill the man in a shopping mall the previous day. He later surrendered to police, the newspaper said.
