RIYADH: Prince Salman Science Oasis (PSSO), which has a mandate to promote scientific knowledge, especially among children, will host a bazaar organized by 25 students here tomorrow.

Schoolchildren from New Middle East International School have been participating in an award-winning PSSO-run entrepreneurial program that helps children know more about science and entrepreneurship, said Khalid Taher, PSSO’s executive director.

Taher said the bazaar would showcase children’s inventions, exhibits and a range of food items. “The children will launch their own businesses on Thursday night, entertaining guests with their products and also selling them in the bazaar,” he said.

He added that PSSO, a nonprofit organization, aims to improve public awareness of science by organizing such activities. He noted that the Riyadh governorate recently approved the construction of four science oases at different locations in Riyadh.

“The project symbolizes a closer cooperation between the governorate and PSSO,” he added.
