MADINAH: Madinah Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majed will open the first international date and food festival here tomorrow. Organized by the Cooperative Agricultural Society in Madinah and the Ministry of Agriculture, the festival aims at highlighting the Kingdom’s achievements in the agricultural sector.

A number of programs will be held on the sidelines of the two-week festival, highlighting the significance of dates as a food and medicine. Hamoud Al-Harbi, chairman of the society, spoke about the features of Madinah dates and the increasing demand for them.
