JEDDAH, 16 January 2008 — Ministry of Health projects and maintenance directors from different regions of the Kingdom met yesterday at the Jeddah Westin Hotel.

General director of Health Affairs in Makkah region, Dr. Khaled Thafr, director of health affairs in Jeddah Dr. Abdulrahman Khayyat, and general director of projects at the Ministry of Health Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Qahtani were present at the opening of the two-day event.

“This meeting is an opportunity for all of us as managers of projects and maintenance to meet and discuss the development of projects in the health sector,” said Engineer Fawzi Banjar, projects and maintenance manager at the Directorate of Health Affairs of Jeddah Region.

According to him, every establishment in any ministry has engineering affairs to be taken care. This starts with designing, establishing, operating and maintaining.

“The Ministry of Health has assigned SR5.8 billion of the total budget, which is SR25 billion, to support current projects and establish new ones.
